Privacy Notice (Datenschutzerklärung)
Summary (for orientation only — not the legally binding text):
- Controller: Legill & Senden Kfz-Sachverständigenbüro GmbH, Hamburger Straße 4, 50321 Brühl, Germany, within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR.
- No tracking: this site is static, with no JavaScript for content, no analytics or tracking tools, no embedded maps, no rating widgets, and no fonts or other resources loaded from external servers. No cookies are set for analytics, marketing or profiling.
- Server log files: the web server automatically records standard technical access data (e.g. IP address, date and time, page requested, data volume, browser and operating system) on the legal basis of a legitimate interest in secure, error-free operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Accident-report form: we collect the details you enter — name, contact details, accident location and a short description of the vehicle damage. The form is deliberately designed not to ask for health data; the free-text field expressly asks you not to describe injuries or your health. Submissions are forwarded by email to the responsible group office and are not stored in a searchable database on the web server. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or a legitimate interest in answering a general enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); retention afterwards follows German commercial- and tax-law retention periods (§ 257 HGB, § 147 Abgabenordnung).
- Sharing within the group: your enquiry is forwarded to whichever group office covers your accident location. Each office is a separate legal entity and becomes its own controller for the assessment work once it accepts the assignment.
- Your rights: under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectify (Art. 16), erase (Art. 17), restrict (Art. 18), and port (Art. 20) your data, and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21). You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77) — for this controller, the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen.
- No use of the HIS by us: the German insurance industry's shared claims register (Hinweis- und Informationssystem, HIS) is run by insurers. We are not a controller for that system and do not report data to it ourselves.
